Gisela Mauermayer, (born November 24, 1913, Munich, Germany—died January 9, 1995, Munich), German athlete who gained a gold medal for the discus throw on the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, the place she was portrayed by Germany’s Nazi authorities as a really perfect mannequin of Aryan womanhood.
